Well I have been stage 3 for only about a week now. Well last night I was out at the street races. When I first get there I have the random ppl that know I went to stage III want to race me. Well so I line up about 5-7 times and race. My car was running like ass. Anyhow the only thing it beat was a new t/a with exhaust and 4.10's. Come on, I know my car can do better than that. Well so we drive to where everyone meets up. On the way i notice my car isnt getting any throttle. Or I can romp on the gas and the RPM wouldnt budge. Im like -ok-. Well we finally get to the place. As im pulling in. I notice my car is going up to 0 psi and stops. hmmm Akward? So my buddy Mal1ce(tt.net member) gets in my car to ck it out and drives up the parking lot when all of a sudden. POOOOOOOOFFFF. White smoke everywhere. So im sitting here like "great" I have a girl I like with me here and my fucking car is doing this bullshit. Well so i chill there talking to Mal1ce about what it could possibly be? WE figured it was turbos, so we left it at that. I stayed at the races because Stephanie wanted to stay there and watch the races, and truthfully i didnt wanna go home and crawl in my bad all curled up in a ball thinking and weeping about my car :(. So i get about a mile away from home and my car starts knocking(Is this good?) So I pull over on the side of the highway and luckily my brother was with me cuz i would be fucked. He went and got a quart of oil. We put that in and still get knocking for about a minute i let it run thinking the car just needed to let the oil set in. Well i turn it off not wanting to mess anything up. So my brother pushs my car for a mile and half with his truck. My poor baby :(. Needless to say I got up this morning and decided to start pulling things off so i can get the tranny off this weekend. See what kind of condition my stock turbos are in. Sorry I had to vent. NOW:: My question to you is, Im thinking about upgrading my turbos to the TD05's. What are your opinions of this turbo? good or bad? Is there anything else I should do while I have the engine out? TIA :(
